If I get fibre can i keep my old analogue phones?

I'm still on the ancient copper setup with ee at 48£ a month when I could have fibre for basically the same price. So I need to upgrade manually as they obviously won't just say " hey we noticed were ripping you off ☺️ heres an upgrade. " Lol.

Thing is we don't want any new digital phone like BT gave us when I was about to switch. So I cancelled BT switching and sent their stuff back. I don't want any TV boxes and so on just fibre upgrade.

Can we get fibre and still use our old phone system ? we have 3 handsets for 3 floors. The BT one came with just one and we would have had to pay for 2 more. We just don't need digital phones and we know how ours work. Can't be bothered editing the phone book again etc and my mum needs it as is.

@brianh73 Yes you can. And it’s not EE job to inform you when you can upgrade but they do notify you ( I think ) 40-60 days before hand if you act on that is up to you.

Not if you're thinking of moving to EE Full Fibre (FTTP). EE provide no phone service with its Full Fibre. With all other EE Fibre (FTTC) or Fibre Max (G.Fast) you can have an ordinary landline.

Which EE Fibre are you looking at?

Thanks. Erm. Well basically it would be the cheapest fiber I don't know what it's called I forget but it is the same price or a touch cheaper than my current ancient broadband which is 48 a month and constantly dropping connections.

So I already have ee landline. I just want to keep my number and my current phones and speed up my internet, that is all. I don't want to be forced into updating my phone's to digital though unless I've no choice at all.

I will call EE soon to discuss it.

The cheapest EE Fibre BB is £27 pm & you may keep your landline with that. I think from what you say you must have EE Standard BB which is non-Fibre ADSL & is currently selling at £29 pm. You may upgrade from ADSL to EE Fibre with Landline.

Ok thank you. Yeah it is standard I believe but not that cheap, well, maybe, we have an extra mobile calls service on it so it rounds up to 48 nowadays, it has risen over time obviously.

I did get the full fiber max now available in your area email last year, it's only just got here. I checked out the deals then and realised we should be upgrading as it costs the same.

I will still make sure and call EE. I see I could upgrade via my account but I need to know the landline number and phones will be left.

With anything called "Full Fibre" you will not get a landline. Anything else you will.
