Allocate bandwidth to one device specifically

Hi all,

I work from home and have my work pc connected to the modem via an ethernet router.

There is also a TV connected to the modem via an ethernet cable.

I would like to know if it is possible to allocate most of the bandwidth to the computer and less to the TV?

I would really appreciate any help.

@Zarro You can't do it with the standard EE Routers.

However if you buy one with QOS (Quality of Service) then it is possible to set it up.

What bandwidth do you have, and is it possible to upgrade?

Some EE routers do (incl. QoS), some don't! Which router have you? Which EE BB product did you buy?

You're right! Port Forwarding wasn't the answer.

I had 100 mbps, I upgraded to 500 mbps after reading your message and hope this will solve the issue.

I have an EE smart box and the BB is fibre to the premises (100 mbps). I upgraded to 500 mbps after reading the messages here and hope this will solve the issue. Thanks for reading and helping.

The EE Smart Router does not provide any Bandwidth Control or QoS as you were after.
