Hi folks,

I just had 500mb fibre installed a few days back and using the standard smart hub from EE, I was trying to perform a speed test in the EE Home app after I had setup my few devices , TV, Xbox, 2 iphoes and firestick. The speed test beings but then says us can't be don't as I maybe using a different router than the one EE supplied me? Only thing I have don't regards the router is change the network name and password from the one supplied with the router , openreach engineer set it all up when he performed the install on Monday. I know there are loads of speed tests out there, just would rather keep it all in the app.

Thanks , and appreciate any ideas / solutions

Simon

Using an ee router but getting the same message. Can do a speed test using the Ookla Speedtest App but like you would prefer to keep everything inside the ee app.

I have tried removing the App and reinstalling but still have the same issue. I can use the app to test the connection which is fine but can't use it to test the speed.
