Just had the email about the price increase and it’s out of budget for the terrible speeds we get.
does anyone know if we still have to pay an early termination fee if we don’t agree to the price change?

Hi @Ellieeluu

The CPI increase is part of your contract agreement.

https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/billing-usage-and-top-up/price-increase/price-increase

If you want to leave you'll need to pay your remaining contract term.

Thanks

@Ellieeluu Unfortunately so. It affects people who have multiple lines or business accounts/mobiles more, my current monthly bill is £350 across 5 lines, and after the increase it will be £400 a month. I do find it laughable however that they claim this is to "invest" in their network, yet I live 12 miles from central London on the outskirts of London, in the south east, I'm in a London borough just within the M25, yet since the year 2000 cellular service in this area has been atrocious, and it's barely improved in the 23 years since. There's numerous masts within 1 mile and several within 1/4 of a mile, yet in a bungalow built in the 1930's I get 1 bar of service if i'm lucky... once it took me 36 hours to receive a text.

@WS1995 : You speak of the mobile network & reinvestment therein. EE doesn't own the BB network, OR does, & so they have no reinvestment to make in it, tho' OR might be demanding more rental.

@Ellieeluu : You may not have to pay off the rest of your contract term, like mobile users do, but it's more like a fixed predetermined sum per outstanding month.
