Ok so our town hav fttp installed late last year 2022 signed up jan 23 for the 900 package but struggling to reach 300 407 is the max iv ever had open reach been out twice nothing wrong with line to house it’s a issue with exchange just got off phone with ee thay want to downgrade my package to 500 for the same price lol I asked them about the guarantee and it don’t apply to me as iv been offerd a downgrade **bleep** for same price and I would loose my Xbox pass any one know about the guarantee

If you are expecting 900mb on a wireless connection you will be sorely disappointed. Most wireless devices currently popular can't support it.

What device are you using to test and how is it connected? An Xbox, depends on which one you have. The Xbox series X/S can do about 850 but that will be a wired connection.

1. What are all EE's estimated speeds which you'll find in your MyEE for BB under Your broadband speed?

2. Try a wired speedtest, using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.

3. What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

It’s a ee own test from inside there diagnostics there getting 300-400 slowest was 280 I think thay got last week that picture is from a Ofcom Sam knows testing router hard wired with cat6

Yea if you can see the above posts iv got under guaranteed speeds I don’t know where u getting the selling idea from if it’s from that copy and paste it’s from the government Ofcom site just saying the router that thay are using in my house to monitor ee speeds

Yea you right just think some people don’t like links as can leed to unknown places I didn’t think many people knew what Sam knows was and I did it as a guide to a multi test on a lan port and stable as I know WiFi can change as quickly as the weather I’m just wondering if any one els on 900 with that low speed that thay have given up trying to fix one of the openreach blokes said it was the lighter at the trunk switch going to our local exchange and our light reading is 12 if any one knows what that means

You'd be surprised how many know about SamKnows, especially those that devote time to assist on ISP community pages. I had a SamKnows router 10 yrs ago.

I think the Openreach guy was throwing you a red herring. If it was the "lighter" at the trunk switch it would be everyone affected. If that were the case Openreach would resolve it ASAP.

What happens if you try a direct PC/Laptop PPPoE connnection to the ONT? You would need to use the user name and password wich you can find in the EE hub settings.
