ive took out bt broad band, but land lord just informed me no land line fitted

This is the EE Community, not the BT Community. However the same considerations apply.
Perhaps you don't need a landline installed. Which BB package did you order? What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
1. If you ordered Full Fibre (FTTP) you don't get a landline.
2. Otherwise, your ISP will install a new landline.
