dissolution of copper lines in the rural community

i live in a rural community of 400 people in Norfolk , circa 40% are eldery and do not use the internet , apps etc .

there is a great deal of panic re the dissolution of copper lines , folks are convinced that BT is going to cut them off

Please I really need some help

I need a community support office to come to our rural norfolk village and explain face to face what will happen and how things will work

Please contact me as a matter of urgency thank you

This has nothing to do with BT or EE. It is a decision made by Openreach and will not require anyone to be cut off. All will be transferred to Digital Voice via BT if the phone line is rented via BT or EE.

Thankyou, i fully understand that but openreach are not end user customer
facing and consumer bills are not paid to them. I need a representative
from the company that provides the service over whatever network they use
to the end user customer to explain to the end user what how and when it
will happen. Openreach cannot comment on what any end user pays or which
service they purchase. This is a customer care issue to your customer, many
of whom will not use the Internet and if they have a mobile phone will use
for calls only. It is no good pointing them towards a web page or an app.
Come on BT have a care for the e elderly rural community.

@JULIELIP5MAN - Both BT and EE will have it in their plans to communicate the implications of the PSTN switch-off with customers. The detailed plan probably isn't something you're likely to see shared at this stage mind you.

I doubt any ISP is going to allow their customers' services to simply be terminated without any attempt to accomodate or notify subscribers.

This BT press briefing is of relevance.
