hi

I have just purcahsed a Wavlink AC600 outdoor repeater and intended to connect it via ethernet cable to a smart disc (using the socket in on the back of the disc). I have set up the repeater, but when i connect it to the disc it tells me there is a problem and it looses connection. All i want the disc to do is enable the connection of broadband via the ethernet cable to the outside repeater.

Am i missing something, do i need to change a setting on the disc, or am i asking too much of it?

TIA Ross

Why can't you connect the outdoor repeater via Ethernet directly to the router?

Even if you just try it out does it work better than the disc?

I will try connecting directly to the router, rather than the EE disc, but the router is one end of the house and i really need the repeater at the other end and outside so as to reach my office in the garden. The insulation on the back of my house is stopping any wifi signal getting outside so i need a physical cable to an outside repeater.

What's the LAN socket for on the EE disc if not to be able to supply cabled broadband to a unit, like a PS5 or repeater, for example?
