EE Smart Hub guest network

I have the EE Smart hub with 2 discs or wireless repeaters. I want to use one of these in an area of the house I use for Airbnb guests. Can I set up a separate wireless SSID (network name) so the guests are not on my network?

Smarthub or Smart Router? Assuming the latter, I don't believe it has guest Wi-Fi functionality, nor the ability to 'split' the SSID for the 2.4GHz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi radios; even if it did support split SSID (like the former might), there would be no security beneift as each of the two SSID's would have visibility of the overall network regardless.

Solution might be to purchase a router that does support creation of an isolated guest network/VLAN, or more complicated: use a wired managed switch with VLAN capability and hang a Wi-Fi access point off the back of it.

@zzl4s8 alas the simple answer is no.

There are plenty on mesh routers available which do have a Guest Network facility.

It really depends on your budget, but as a start look at Asus or TP Link, but make sure the router includes a VDSL modem.

A very quick look with filtering out some not suitable ones here https://www.currys.co.uk/computing/networking/routers/modem-routers just to give you some idea. NB some do not include wireless, not all are DSL, so do ask if you are not sure.

Other vendors are available.

"Smart" is a retrograde step. The previous EE BrightBox supported 3 VLANs which could support guest networks.

Most ASUS modem/routers support guest networks, as do many others.
