My landline is dead, but when I ring it on my mobile, somebody else is answering it. EE have given my number to somebody else…. Strange but true

@JF36 Did you take out a broadband package without a landline? As that will explain why your phone line is dead and why someone else answered that number you called as it’s not your number because you don’t have a landline with your BB package.

Its more likely to be a crossed line than EE giving your number away.

Bit late now, but if you give the Broadband Care Team a call they will get Openreach to sort it.
