EE Router

Hello,

I recently upgraded my fibre broadband to the fibre broadband plus, and as part of the process I was asked if i wanted a new router. When I asked if I needed one I was told the old one was compatible.... but to me that sounded as though there was a newer model. Therefore, i requested a new one.

However, the new equipment / router that I have received is exactly the same as the current model that I have – do I need to change it, or do I simply send back the one you have just sent me?

Thanks

On the page Home BB Routers do they look like the EE Smart Hub or the EE BrightBox 1R (but is actually the BrightBox 2 {EE's lost its help page})? Either will work on both EE Fibre BBs with the EE Smart Hub having slightly better WiFi but drastically weaker functionality.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
