Thanks for your response. I know the BT is still operative because on my
iPad settings the only wi fi listed is BT.

Hi, I am in the process of moving from BT Broadband and landline to EE. BT service was due to terminate 16 Sept. On 16 Sept I received email from EE to say new service is up and running. I have not yet installed new EE router because BT broadband is still operating today 20 Sept. Do I need to wait until BT switches off their Broadband before installing EE router, or should I just go ahead anyway?

Thanks

Welcome to the community.

Yes, if your broadband is live with us, you can go ahead and switch routers.

How do you know your BT broadband is still operative? Often either router will work on both.

Can you get your public IP either from your router or from What's My IP Address? & post the 1st 3 parts of it?

As already explained, BT routers can work an EE line.

If you change the router to the EE one it will work if your line has changed to EE.

or it will work just as well even if your line is still with BT as you surmise 😉 .
