Slow upload speed on 900/110 package.

My FTTP got installed today and my download speed hits 920mbps but it looks like the upload speed is capped at 50. All the tests I ran come back the same. I was hoping to get the full speed so I can upload to work servers. Is there any setting I can do? I am wired to the network with the white EE smart router.

I have a Asus DSL-AC88U is it possible to configure that to work with FTTP?

So it turns out the EE router is trash, why provide equipment what is not good enough for the job. This is the speedtest with the EE router

This is with my DSL-AC88U in EWAN mode.

Not a good experience with EE but at least I found a fix.

Yes, there have been numerous reports of this, e.g. FTTP: 900Mbps, capped upload speed

Any decent generic router should get over this or connecting direct to the ONT. The Asus DSL-AC88U would be ideal.

@matty114 if you give the Broadband Care Team a call, I believe there is a fix to overcome the upload speed restriction. In theory it will be applied via a firmware update if you leave it connected for a day or two.

That said you will have a lot more control an functionality with your own router.
