Nest camera not connecting through Wi-Fi

Hi. Hope I’m using this “help” correctly. I’ve just moved all broadband from BT to EE. I’ve connected phones and tablets to new Wi-Fi no problem but neither of my Cameras now seem to be able to connect to Wi-Fi. One is a Nest camera and the other is V380 pro. Both worked fine before switch?

Hi @Grathom100 you don't say what router you have, but a couple of possibilities.

1. Try the BT router - you may have to update the username and password.

2. Log into the EE router go to the advanced section, and switch off the 5Ghz band.

3. If it is still not connecting, also try the other modes on the 2.4Ghz band.

Depends on which router you have:

For the black EE Smart Hub, but not the white EE Smart Router, try separating the wireless bands/SSIDs. On the Advanced > Wireless Settings page of the SH there is a button near the top to Separate the Bands. Turn it ON. Then the 5GHz SSID will appear starting with "5GHz-" & the 2.4 GHz SSID not starting with "5GHz-". Then connect your devices to the 2.4 GHz SSID if they can't do 5GHz.
With the white EE Smart Router, unlike the black EE Smart Hub, you cannot separate the wireless bands/SSIDs. The most you can do is to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band & move off the Smart channel while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices.

Thanks for reply. I’m not very tech savvy??? I’ve been sent a black hub by EE which I’ve plugged in instead of the BT hub I used to have. The instruction book says it’s an EE Smart hub. As I’ve mentioned I’ve got mobile phones and tablets switched over to new Wi-Fi no problem. No idea how to “separate bands etc” they just connected easily with BT Wi-Fi without me really doing anything apart from connecting to Wi-Fi - and this is where problem is now

I've just told you in my post how to do this. If you don't know how to login to it, login to your EE SH at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router.
