Terminating Broadband

I am well out of contract and want to cancel Broadband, unable to get to speak to someone via the phone number as they are always too busy. Can this be done on line or email? Or should I just cancel Direct Debit for them to contact me? Thanks

EE provide no email contact & you cannot cancel online. Either:

You may write to them giving your notice of cancellation at:

EE Customer Services
6 Camberwell Way
Sunderland
Tyne and Wear
SR3 3XN
United Kingdom

Include your name, address, EE account number and/or EE landline number.

Your 14-days notice will be taken from when they receive your letter.
Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. over Skype. It should be free.

@Gee26 , Not sure why you are having problems speaking to customer service. I rang them and got someone straight away are you making sure you speak to the broadband team when you ring them?

Don;t just cancel your Direct Debit, that will just cause you more issues, and is not taken as formal notice you want to cancel your contract.

I have now been cut off four times in a row, being told that the department is now closed having been on hold for a prolonged period. Given it is 10am on a Wednesday I am inclined to think this is more to do with a lack of staff that an actual closure.
Seems that cancelling is not at all as straight forward as this thread suggests. Given time of year and postal strikes I could end up paying another month here that I no longer need or want.
Given that I, like the original poster, am well out of contract I see no reason to not simply cancel the DD...I suspect that will elicit a far prompter response than when I try to call in

@XRaySpeX Ha very true I suspect! Thankfully I was able to get it done over the phone, using a different number 0800 079 0544 which was answered immediately and they were very helpful

I’ve been queuing over an hour and can’t get though. Quick enough to take my money though! I want to cancel at other providers are half the price now I’m out of contract!

@MRC6 if you are moving to another network using the Openreach network, no need to cancel, your new supplier will do that for you.

Otherwise follow the advice earlier in the thread.

I phoned EE on 0800 079 0544 which was answered immediately and they were able to help without any hard sell. I had to wait on hold for 12minutes after initial chat while the operator filled in forms but then she came back and Broadband cancelled from midnight.
