Apple TV won’t connect to EE Broadbans

I have a EE Smart Hub at home and now I can’t connect my AppleTv box to the wifi. I have checked with Apple support to rule out any problems with the Apple TV box or TV (I can connect to Apple TV when using my iPhone hotspot), so the problem is with my broadband / wifi settings. I can select the WiFi on Apple TV but then see a message saying the WiFi Password is incorrect, but there is no way change or enter a password on Apple TV. The Apple support person says it’s a setting on the EE WIFI. Any advice? Thanks

@RKDAVIES22 Do not understand what you have posted, are you saying the Apple TV was connected by wifi to the EE Hub before but now it is not working as you cannot enter a password which is real strange that way for apple.

Can you connect the Apple box to the EE Hub by Ethernet?

To connect your Apple TV box to Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

Turn on your Apple TV and go to the Settings menu.
Select Network and then choose the name of your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
If prompted, enter your Wi-Fi network password using the on-screen keyboard.
Wait for your Apple TV to connect to your network. You might see a progress wheel while it’s connecting.

Sometimes older or weaker devices may not be compatible with the default WiFi settings of EE Smart Hubs with their WPA3 Security. Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings > Config > Compatible WiFi (it defaults to 2.4 GHz only & WPA2) & connect your problematic 2.4 GHz or WPA2 devices to that. It presents itself as a separate network SSID of the form "MainSSID-Comp".

It may be that the router's default WPA3 vs. the TV's WPA2 is behind the "wrong pwd" issue.
