Post your Ethernet sync connection, will link what you need if PC is windows based below. Like this but for your Ethernet adapter.

Re: Anyone actually getting anywhere near 900MB? - Page 3 - The EE Community

Hi Guys

I facing an issue from longer period of time.

Got x870e Taichi lite motherboard with 5gbs Realtek Ethernet. The issue is the router can’t make a proper handshake with a on board lan.The speed instead 1,6gbs capping to 600mbs.Tried a unmanaged switch place between pc and router , official drivers , bios updates , windows power optimalisations but still can’t achieve the max speeds.Had anyone faced similar issue , on this stage don’t know is that problem with on board LAN microcode or the router itself.Any suggestions would help

cheers

600mbs doesnt sound like a handshake speed but a download or speed test result. Windows will tell you the ethernet handshake speed - you'd expect that to be 2.5Gb/s as thats the port speed on the 7 pro. This wont be affected by BIOS, drivers, power settings or microcode etc - but can be affected by cable choice which needs to be CAT 6 or better,

Then run a speed test on the EE app. This will show the speed available at the router - which should be the package speed - and also gives speed over WiFi to the phone which can be less. You can then run a speed test on the PC - which should match the speed at the router over a wired LAN.

With a 7 plus I got the package speed at the router right from connection day and also at the PC via CAT 6 to a 5Gb/s Realtek LAN interface. Wifi is harder but I can get 900+ over 6GHz. Ive got nearly 2Gb/s into the Realtek in a specific test.

Has been mentioned although a while ago now that the Pro was very picky on cable 2.5Gb/s connections but that could have been more a quality cable issue than anything else.
