I can't get my call list on my new BT3960 cordless phone

My old BT phones got the calls list but my new BT 3960 doesnt - it just shows two small narrow bars, like a small 'pause' button on the left hand side of the screen. Have spent several hours with helpful EE people on the phone - thank you Joanne, Chris from Falkirk and Jess - but nothing works. No fault with the phones, I think because I took back a different set of new phones to Currys that I though were at fault and these were replaced with the BT 3960. I have powered down and up a couple of times, there have been two HSS resets – i thought one worked for an hour but appeared things were kicked out again. I can get 1471, 1571 and redial will give last number called. Has anyone got any ideas?

@ChrisE5 Everything is stored in that model of BT phone, unless you tried to attach the by Dect direct to the EE Hub were the hub stores all the information and the model off that phone does connect to the EE/BT hub on Dect.

@ChrisE5 What is it that the phone is not showing, ie the caller ID is not displaying on that phone, as a call list is programmed and stored in the unit, ie joe blogs calls as 01234 123456 number gets matched and the phone display's as joe blogs. Caller ID match, nothing in the phone no name appears, ID not sent from EE then phone shows unknown caller, scam caller etc whatever EE sends as an ID. Page 32 on the link shows caller display but that is all down to EE/BT to send it and have active on there side.

Is your phone currently plugged into the back off an EE/BT hub for the DV Digital Voice connection? If so try just switching the hub off for five minutes.

Is not the caller ID I am worried about. It's the list of calls, so if someone phones who is not stored in the phone while I am out and I check the calls list his number, time and date comes up.

@ChrisE5 : This phone is an ordinary DECT phone. All its functions are on the phone itself. It stores or gets nowt from your BB or DV.

To get to the Calls List press Menu button > Calls/v button, then scroll it using Calls/v or ^ buttons. See p33 of BT3960 Nuisance Call Blocker Quick Set-up and User Guide

Is that small 'pause' button on the TOP left hand side of the screen just the DECT signal strength?

I have pressed the button in the centre as per the instructions and I all I get is that little pause button.

Only if the call is answered by the Answerphone.

I don't have the base answerphone on my old phone and that works fine without it ie I get my list of calls

@ChrisE5 It also works fine with my Panasonic Landline phone, i always get the call list no matter if the Answer phone is on or not, stores the last x amount off calls then i have to menu about to see the date/timestamp off the call etc. Try calling from your mobile get it ringing a few times, hang up and go look at the landline, you should at first get the indication that there is a missed call displayed top centre i think looking at the manual.....
