Hello,

I have been taking art in an EE trial that gave me 2 years free 1.6Gb broadband. This is now coming to an end on 29th September. I wanted to stay with EE and have the 900Mb broadband for £26.99 per month. However, when I called I was told that the system does not allow the person trying his best to help me to arrange this; my only options were to switch to another provider or to cancel the EE Service and then start a new EE service, which would mean a break in service for a day or two.
It would also mean returning the equipment and then fitting new equipment.
Surely there should be a way for me to keep the existing equipment and just have the speed reduced from 1.6Gb to 900Mb and start paying the £26.99.
I have now cancelled the 1.6Gb broadband and trying online to start the 900Mb service from 26th September, but part way through the process it asks me to login to my account if I have one; when I do this the process does not continue.
It seems crazy that I will be having to switch to to another provider when I want to stay with EE but with a lower broadband speed.
If there is anyone from EE reading this who can help then please let me know.

Joe.

That sounds more like a price through another 3rd party website & if it is as per the t&c's is only for brand new customers so you won't be eligible for it
