I've recently joined EE and have their Smart Hub Pro 7 and the Smart Hub 7 Plus Extender. When I was with my previous provider, Wi-Fi calling worked absolutely fine, no problem at all. Ever since switching to EE, Wi-Fi calling doesn't work on any of our 3 mobile phones. I've rebooted both routers and checked all phones and all phones have Wi-Fi calling enabled. We live in a mobile black spot and barely get 1 bar of reception and as we don't have a landline, Wi-Fi calling is essential. I've also tried resetting the network settings on all phones but nothing has made a difference.

What else can I try?

@Peakoverload There is not much, have you spoken to EE regarding it, when mine did not work they out and out blamed the device as the issue nothing else, so i moved mobiles to EE One that connected fine without to much issues with the odd time when the complete EE wifi calling was oops'd and did not work.

For me O2 on EE broadband did not work, EE on EE was fine, Moved to sky and mobile back to O2 worked no issue, moved sky BB to VF, mobile on O2 still but wifi calling with the VF Powerhub does not work, hub from VF now back in it's box, WiFi calling has always worked via my Asus hub no matter which Broadband supplier or Mobile operator. Like you EE poor mobile, O2 not much better, so NO wifi calling, bricks for mobiles but DO have voip Landline for Emergency calling just cannot chance it at all.

You may wish to confirm your opening to be sure, you CANNOT use a Plus Extender with a Pro hub, so would be switching off the extender first to check if wifi calling works direct on the hub? Link to all the devices is below.

Device Help | EE

@Northerner The Smart Hub 7 Pro and Extender 7 Pro are both running firmware r5.16.1-R-2011329-PROD-1. I'm not with EE for mobile. There is next to zero mobile coverage where I live as it's very rural. Each of our 3 mobile phones are with different providers and all worked flawlessly with our previous ISP and their routers. There shouldn't be a requirement to be with on a particular mobile network to use Wi-Fi Calling.

@JimM11 Interesting and concerning that you've experienced similar issues. Out of interest are you using IPv6? From my understanding EE are pushing IPv6 but many mobile providers still only use IPv4. I have IPv6 disabled on my router but the Allocation Mode is set to Stateless instead of OFF. In theory, this shouldn't matter as IPv6 is disabled but just wondering if something weird is happening in the firmware that means devices capable of IPv6 are still trying to request IP addresses causing Wi-Fi calling to then fail. </clutching@straws>

Do not have an EE Router so cannot look see.

I am not a big mobile user, just never decided i had any interest in them, but to check wifi calling always switched to Airplane mode and ensured i could call out/receive with no issues.

Linked an old post with pic, you will see both iPv4/6 both on the Router.

Re: Smart Hub Pro and IPV6 - The EE Community

FW: r5.16.1-R-2011329-PROD-1 and the gui is at App Version 3.17.5 20/08/2026 is the latest and you do appear to be there.
