Will TP-LINK T4UH connect to EE Smart Hub Plus?

Hi 'Forced' to move from PlusNet to EE. Got new broadband hub yesterday - mostly works except my old desktop using the above link doesn't see Wi-Fi. Will this link work or do I need to get a new one - if so, what 'standard' (???) do I need to look for please. Many Thanks, H

@Leicester_H Do try it connected to the Main wireless network to start with, your old Tp-Link TU4H it is a wifi 5 device and only WPA2-Personal in the securities.

If it struggles to connect ie does not see or does not like to connect with the password or you find it is unstable, then you may just have to set the Compatible network in operation and connect with that.

Hopefully it works with the first option. The best hub for all the old is without the BT Smart Hub 2, which is identical to your old PN2 but with a working ATA port for the DV Digital Voice side.

Remember to turn the 5Ghz band on for the Comp if not your device may not be as speedy on the wireless Network connection, you need to try and see.

Have tried it - doesn't see WiFi at all. Tried to set compatible Wifi on hub but doesn't work. After over an hour on phone, they say there is bug in Hub software - SHOULD get s/w update in next 24 hrs! Speed of device was fine with PN router - not really concerned with speed as long as it works - will report back after 'update'. Thanks for helpful reply. H

@Leicester_H Unless you really need the use off wifi6 on devices, you would know that it may just be better to get EE to send you the BT Smart Hub 2 version. What bug is EE talking about and if you need this is the current FW version's the 6+ is on, few back so you get the picture. Hub should have updated fairly quickly when you first connected it. See Tp-Link have also stuck the EOL on it from there site. Your NOT by chance trying to use the WPS connect for the device?

Edit:- the more up to date Tp version but cannot say if it will work or not.

The bug was when I tried to enable compatible wi-fi, it said I needed to save changes, but when I clicked on save, and 'yes' I'm sure, it returned me to the page saying I needed to save changes!
