EE will not transfer my package to my new address

Hi I am moving house and EE will not transfer my package to the new address, It states on the website they Will give me like for like. I am getting 500mb Now at my old house for £37 .At my new address I will only get 40mb. And still pay £37 . They are saying that I have to take out a new contract for 24 months.

Help would be much appreciated.

@Rebelone : You can only be given what BB is available at your new addy. If Full Fibre isn't there then it's impossible to give what you currently have. It'll be the same for other OR-based ISPs.

You choose to move there, not EE. You'll just have to take what's there.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker > Address Checker estimate for your new address? Post the whole table, the text below it and the line above it, blanking out your address.

@Rebelone You do have to start a new contract. You’re being allowed to terminate the old contract without having to pay off what you owe on the remaining term of that contract. You can’t take the contract with you when you change address. As for the speed of the new contract that’s going to depend on what’s available at the new address.

Should you wish to change ISP you’ll be required to pay off the remaining term of the BB contract.

Moving House and Broadband Contracts

You can leave your broadband contract early, without a fee, if your current provider cannot serve your new address.

Contact your provider before you move, since most let you transfer your existing deal to the new property free of charge if the same service is available there. If your provider cannot deliver the same speed or technology at your new address, ask for written confirmation of this, since that document supports a fee-free cancellation. Some providers still apply a reduced ETC for a home move rather than waiving it fully, so read your specific terms before you give notice

@Rebelone If you are not happy with the offer from EE then OTS to a new provider and sign up to them, pay the ETF that EE will produce and go from that point onwards. You may be lucky and an Altnet has FF Full Fibre service to keep you up at the speed you desire.
