Hi,

I am about to return to the EE fold and my full fibre broadband switches over tomorrow.

Now the cheap and cheerful Hub 7 is not sufficient for me so I have a higher spec 3rd party item that I wish to connect straight away.

To connect the alternative device I need the bb user id and pwd.

The hub 7 only comes with it's admin and wifi password card, this doesn't help me as I need the broadband connection password and associated credentials.

EE app is no use, the EE support line has an hour plus wait , how can I obtain the essential information I require to setup my equipment?

Any suggestions as I want to jump from current provider to EE and just change settings on my router to facilitate that without using the hub 7!

Thanks in advance

Jim,

Thanks but I am already aware of the connection configuration for ppoe and 3rd party router, it's just my Connection credentials that are required and it's a nightmare trying to obtain them from EE!

Hub 7 is a "fallback" device box in the unlikely event my performance router has any issues or a door stop.

They are not meant to be secure. They are just a placeholder. Checks are done against the incoming line itself.

You can still use the old creds of yourname.orange-domain@fs & chosen pwd.

Proof will be when setting user and pwd to the generic BT shizzle and seeing if my router connects seamlessly or if I will have the joys/pain of an EE "Guide" searching for an actual set of credentials that works after spending an inordinate amount of time on the phone 🤳🙄

Unless you have been on EE BB before & your old creds are still valid after your return to EE, which I would doubt, there will not be such an actual set of credentials.
