EE smart Hub 7plus extender

We’ve recently switched from BT to the EE Smart Hub 7+ and extender but find that no matter where the extender is placed. the extender does not reach all of the house. Would a second extender resolve this problem? Note that our previous old BT WiFi & extender provided much better WiFi coverage!

Are the suggestions in Top Tips for pairing your WiFi Extenders to the Smart Hub 7 Pro of any help?

@DG123- You can just put the old BT Hub and it's Extender back on the connection, it will work with EE Broadband.

BT Smart Hub 2 is required if Landline is used and DV Digital Voice is in play.

@DG123- - it is compatible, it's just the WiFi won't do much beyond ~450mbps.

Is everything positioned in the same place as it was with BT? The two hubs have different capabilities, so I will typically suggest going back to basics and revisit the positioning. Sounds like you've done that though? As a reminder, you should be looking to position the extender roughly half way between the hub and your area of poor coverage. An elevated, unobstructed position for both the hub and extenders is also wise.

@DG123- As @bobpullen has replied, then the other part off the puzzle and it is not easy to work out if EE apply the same guarantee for the Pro/Plus operational, but you would need to call them and see if an additional EE Smart Wireless Extender would be given to you as a FREE supplied option to add to your existing configuration that you have now. Mesh wifi you can have too little but too much is also bad at the same time. Think the rule off thumb NO MORE than 3 Extenders in play would be a good one to stick to.

@DG123- Never setup an EE system for smart wireless etc, did a BT Smart Hub 2 and Complete wifi disk back in April for a friend over in NI. Had it all up and working in 5 minutes, no access to the Hub whatsoever, and the complete wifi disc covered the whole upper flat floor when i repositioned the disk to spot on middle off the flat, making sure that the disc still seen the hub but max speed was FF150 on the connection and zero issues doing it at all....

Distance i did not care about, coverage was the requirement and only the home, sneaky was trying to cover the two homes he has lower and upper with one broadband....
