Extender help

Hello there, have recently signed up to EE broadband and generally happy with the product. However, experiencing a bit of trouble with some connection bits.

Our house seems to be made of lead and therefore despite being a fairly standard terraced house, the signal doesn't reach from the living room where the router is located into my office above. Not generally a problem, as I've moved the extender into my office. Even with the extender and a range of wi-fi cards and dongles this was poor connection, so I have used an ethernet cable to connect to the extender and I'm now getting fine speeds.

However, my other half has struggled to get good speeds from her office, also above the living room. The extender was initially in there and it gave her good speeds, but as I was struggling to connect at all I moved it, and now she only gets around 20Mb/s tops. A scan of the connected devices shows that she is connecting to the main hub. Is there a way I can force connection to the extender on this floor, which may improve connection? The signal will have to go through 3 walls but that might be better than coming through the floor.

Failing that, can I order an extra extender for her room?

@Afrosydi Call up EE CS, if you have one extender from them already in your package, you are allowed to have three in total.
