EE Wifi home phone adapters & multiple phones ?

I have recently transferred from Plusnet and initially connected a BT Converse 2100 phone as an extension via an EE Wifi home phone adapter, which worked fine. My office phone (Vanguard 10) worked OK, near to the EE Router (and still works as expected).

However, I added a Tempo III Betacom phone via another EE Wifi home phone adapter, and after following the EE home phone adapter instructions, cannot get either extension phone to work:

BT Converse 2100
- EE Wifi home phone adapter green light is on
- no audible tone
- cannot dial out

Tempo III Betacom
- EE Wifi home phone adapter green light is on
- audible tone (engaged ?)
- cannot dial out

The Tempo III Betacom does not work as a single extension phone.

Does anyone know what the steps are for setting up two phone extensions, each with an EE Wifi home phone adapter ? TIA

@Dave523 Take every phone and plug them in one by one to the back off the EE Hub, be sure that each phone is able to work by calling out and have a call in to the phone that will ensure it rings....

It take 24-48hrs for all off the landline functions to change over to operate on the DV side off the EE Hub, gor NOTHING to doo with the Hub, it's all the software on the routing side of EE system and the account. Take it you watched the video.

Many thanks - I wasn't aware of the video and have viewed it.

All of the phones successfully process incoming/outgoing calls when plugged into the back of the EE router. So I'll try again registering the two extension phones, and wait for a bit.

Update: the two corded phones connected via EE Wifi home phone adapters have been re-registered for around 48 hours, but still neither extension phone works (the corded phone connected via the EE router/Smart Hub 6 works OK). The router handsets/adapter information page is also attached.
Both EE Wifi home phone adapters show a continuous green light, which strikes me as counter-intuitive for a non-fully-functioning piece of equipment.
The broadband switch from Plusnet to EE occurred on 24 June 2026.

@Dave523 Below what the lights used to do if they are still the same.

What your Digital Voice
Adapter light means
1 On initial plug in – flashes 0.5 seconds on,
2 seconds off
2 During registration – flashes quickly
0.5 seconds on, 0.5 seconds off
3 Once registered – stays solid green
4 During a call – flashes slowly 1 second on,
1 second off
5 Once registered, if there’s a connection
problem with your broadband – flashes
0.5 seconds on and 2 seconds off.
Maximum Digital
Voice devices
You can register a maximum of 5 Digital Voice
devices (that includes Digital Voice Handsets
or Digital Voice Adapters) to your new Hub at
one time

Think the web manager shows status off the DVA's when connected in the system you may just have to take a look at them, https://192.168.1.254 to get to the EE Hub. will be under the phone connected details i think. This link below also leads to the user manual if you need it.

@Dave523 Your posted picture was not available at the time when reply was sent, but they sure look like assigned to the Dect side of the EE Hub, can only suggest now you power off the Hub for five minutes and when it's back on and Aqua again see if the DVA's play ball with the phones.

Many thanks - switching off/on the hub/router seems to have rectified the problem, so both extension phones function as expected.

I also phoned EE Technical Support prior to your message, who suggested replacing the nearest Wifi home phone adapter (for the Tempo III Betacom; maybe a faulty adapter and possible signal conflict with the other adapter). This I did, but both adapters tried with the Tempo III Betacom work fine after the router switch off/on.

@Dave523 Only true suggestion i can help with is just keep an eye on it at all times, this DV operation Hubs/DVA's is kind off temperamental in general operation, and the Hub off - on with some time for the power decay just seems to be the get out off jail card with it all.😂👍👍
