Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me? I’m planning to sign up to the EE Full Fibre 150 Core plan (with landline add on) soon, but before I do, I have some questions about it.

At the moment I’m with Plusnet. When I sign up with EE would they let Plusnet know of the transfer?

Also, I already have a EE mobile sim plan. Would EE know about this when I go through the sign up process and give me a discounted price or would I have to tell them about my mobile sim plan?

Regarding the landline add on, My Dad is the one who needs the landline. At the moment he pays BT. I realise I would have to take over paying the phone bill as part of the EE 150 Full Fibre Core plan. Would EE get in touch with BT and tell them about the phone bill change?

As we don’t have a digital phone, I would need a EE Digital Voice Adapter (DVA)

I have a concern about these Digital Voice Adaptors. How reliable are they?

Can anyone tell me if they have had any problems with them?

Do they drop WiFi connection at all?

Thanks for all answers.

@PaulMaskell The EE and PN are all part off the same Group of companies, so expect no deals at all, thought PN were moving customers away, your problem is the separate BT Landline number in use service wise.... Just stay with PN and go FF Full Fibre with them, and let the BT Line keep going with your dad, BT will sort that out before Jan 2027 to get the connection done another way.

If you do go wholly with EE then yes the DVA if needed can connect to the EE Hub, THEY DO NOT USE wifi at all, operate in the Dect Frequency range ONLY, few odd ball's with them but nothing major and the work around is to connect the Landline to the back off the EE Hub, or wire up the cabled home to suit from the EE Hub connection.

BT have been happy taking the money for all this time for the Landline and you having a separate Broadband Connection via PN, are they both delivered over the same cable ie only one line to the home?

Home Services / Digital Home Phone is were to go read all about the DVA short comings.

If you move your BB to EE then EE will inform PN of the transfer as part of the OTS process.

Having an EE mobile plan does not entitle you to discounted BB.

If you switch your Dad's BT landline to EE then similarly EE will inform BT of the transfer as part of the OTS process.

Even a normal non-digital phone may be plugged into router or a DVA (I prefer ATA as it delivers an analogue phone signal even when the communication itself is digital) remote from router.
