Trying to change my email address but it keeps reverting to the old one

As per title I need to update my email address but after changing it in Settings and getting it verified next time I log in and go to Settings I find it's reverted to the old one. Can anyone throw any light on this please?

@Buggwrit Try calling EE CS tomorrow 8am onwards, maybe they will have better success in doing it?

Thanks for responding @JimM11 . As I mentioned in my other thread "How can I view my broadband bill online?" I spoke to a very helpful lady "guide" yesterday who took me through setting up my EE ID. This included changing my email address.

The problem seems to be that the Community forum wants me to log in using my email address rather than my forum name and I can't find a way to change that. Since Plusnet hived us off to Greenby and EE the last 6 months has been nothing but hassle and stress and I'm worn down and fed up with it all so I think I'll just leave it be. The old email address is still working in tandem with the new one and is likely to continue for around another 18 months.

For anyone intending to ring CS you might be interested to know that, based on my experience, you stand a much better chance of getting through in the afternoon. On both occasions when I rang in the morning I was informed I was in a 10-minute queue and after a few minutes the line went dead. On trying again after lunch I got through straight away both times.

@Buggwrit On the top right hand side off your Forum when in, click on the round ball, go to My Settings and you can change the e-mail in that, under personal....

@JimM11 That is exactly what I did - twice in fact. After changing the email address I received a verification code to the new address and after completing the verification and returning to the personal information it showed the new address.

However, after I logged out and then logged in again it had reverted to the old address, as I stated in my first post. I went through the same procedure a second time with exactly the same result.
