topic Smart hub or old router in Broadband & Landline

I have recently been sent a new Smart Hub. I already have an EE router. Can I just continue to use the old router and avoid all the hassle of switching? I do not have a land line as my phone (the actual hand set) gave up the ghost several years ago. Nor do I use WiFi, my desktop PC has an ethernet connection. I am quite happy with the speed of my PC already and see no need to change if I am not forced to

You may. Which old router do you have? I have been using the EE Brightbox 2 on EE Full Fibre for over a year with no issues. The EE Smart Hub 6 + they sent me I hold in reserve just to help answer Qs on here.

If you ever need to report an issue with your BB, CS might ask you to put the new router in.

Thanks. Not sure what type the router is, I am 74 and not that technically competent. Have had it several years. That is what I was hoping, that I can just keep using it, will keep the new Smart Hub just in case I need it at some future date.

Link to some off the newer ones with pictures.

Manage Your EE Hub | Broadband Help | EE
