I am a bit confused a I have recently renewed my contract and they have sent me a new hub although the last one is working perfectly fine and so I am not sure why. I have received 2 boxes, one is the smart hub pro and the other is a smart wifi pro. I have googled it and I think the WIFI pro is just a booster for other areas of a house but I live in a small flat and do not have any dead spots currently and so do I just plug the main hub in?

What EE BB plan are you on? Did you change it when you renewed your contract?

Which model was your old router?

The Smart WiFi Extender Pro is indeed a booster for further regions of the home. You might not need it & could phone CS to arrange to return it & take it off your list of EE kit.

You can use the 7 Pro Hub as long as you have a Full Fibre connection. Terms if you need below.

EE Core, Standard, Premium, Ultimate Broadband Plans Terms 12 December 2025
