Yep, Its daft of me as well. I was contacted over the phone regarding the deal and was told my cancellation fee would be covered I wouldn't of changed if I knew it was £300 and only in credit. The long term offer is better but I will now be out of pocket because of a sales agent..... 😵 But obviously I am also to blame regarding this and not doing my research properly before moving over.

I will see where I can get with the EE agents

Edit: VM have been paid and I am now going through raising a complaint regarding the Agent who sold me the product over the phone.

Hello,

So I moved over to EE recently and part of the agreement was EE pay for my cancellation fee which is awesome, However Virgin Media now keep contacting me regarding an overdue payment. I have spoken to them and said EE has already paid the cancellation fee I no longer require reminders if any issues to contact you guys, but Virgin Media are still emailing and calling me for this payment.

What are my best steps to solve this so Virgin Media finally leave me alone and stop harassing me!

EE don't pay your old ISP directly. You do. You then claim it back from EE using your bill from VM as proof.

EE will pay up to £300 of your Early Cancellation Fees upon sight of your previous ISP's bill showing them. You can claim this online @ Switch Broadband to EE and we'll pay your leaving fee. It will be applied as a credit to your EE bill.

Thank you! When I spoke online to the agent from EE I was told that EE sorts all that out for me.

I guess I will call EE again and get an idea of what I need to do 🙂

edit: I am now in contact with another EE agent regarding this as I was obviously very daft but also miss sold what the offer was. This was a phone call from EE not me searching to change as at the time I was happy with VM

As above, the EE agent told me they were going to deal with all the cancellation fee stuff and it was covered and that I didn't need to do anything. That is why I am asking here to get an understanding of the steps needed to take.
