topic Possible to bring broadband activation date forward? in Broadband & Landline

Hello. I've just switched to EE broadband today from Plusnet. My Plusnet contract expires on 20th June, but the earliest I could select for EE broadband activation on the website was 22nd June.

Provided my EE router arrives in time - is it normally possible to bring the date forward by 2 days?

I'm not quite sure if Plusnet service will just stop at midnight, or whether they'll try and retrospectively bill me for internet usage for the two days.

Before I call Plusnet I would like to understand the EE possibilities for leverage.

Thanks

The PN BB service will not stop dead on 20 June. These are not fixed term contracts & they roll on until cancelled 1 way or another. In this case it will be auto cancelled when EE take over the line under the OTS process & you will be billed accordingly for only the days you had your BB with PN.

Thanks! I can of course dip into T's & C's but does anyone know if this is usually just billed as a proportional "per day" rate Vs my terminated contract?

Or is there potential silly prices!?

E.g. I could just forgo internet for 2 days and live off 5G
