topic Old EE broadband rates and deals in Broadband & Landline

I need to find out what rates and deals were available at 21st August 2024 for EE broadband services.

The reason is that my mother who is 87 and doesn't know much about tech or broadband, went to an EE shop to get a new broadband deal. At the shop she told the agent that she didn't need tv services like netflix etc. In reality, all she needed was a basic broadband service. However, the agent told her she needed the Full Fibre 150Mbps broadband at £47.99/m and she didn't need to worry about netflix as it was already included. In fact they sold her a full TV package at £24/m and a landline with unlimited calls at £12/m. Total £83.99/m. I discovered this on 19th May 2026 when visiting my mother.

Having gone through the complaints procedure with EE who were very helpful and understanding but not able to offer what I think is a fair resolution, I am asking for an independent ombudsman's review of the sale and it would be useful to get the rates which were availble for her at the time. EE said that they don't hold this information. Can anyone assist?

Start looking here, but you need to also take every fact into consideration, EE are not in the process off giving money back after the fact.

EE Broadband, TV and Home Phone Price Plans Terms & Conditions | EE

It is true that EE do not publicly hold historic price lists of their New EE BB (non-legacy) products of which FF 150 is 1. However there is Essentials, All Rounder and Full Works plans - 30 July 2024 for the period in question. Unfortunately as far as the actual BB prices are concerned they are as much use as a chocolate teapot being quoted at ridiculously high max. figures that bear no relationship at all to the actual prices, either for new custs or existing custs, being charged at the time. The quoted figures for TV & Home Phone should be more realistic.

Selling her FF 150 was a reasonable choice as ISPs will no longer sell standard partial Fibre (FTTC) or ADSL when FF (FTTP) is available at the location. I bought FF 150 Essentials in Dec '24 for £32.99 pm. So her charge of £47.99 was exorbitant.

I should press on with the Ombudsman. In my view she was swindled, misled & mis sold by the EE Store. She stated she did not want a TV service but was sold 1. She never asked for any landline.
