Also look at the other post for the recent FW update that is causing devices to drop off the wifi!

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help.

We’ve been with EE broadband for over 2 years but in the last 6-8 months the broadband has been awful. It started on our TV, we can’t stream, it buffers constantly and cuts out every 5-10 minutes. We thought it was the TV (LG) so we bought a new TV (Hisense) and the problems remain.

The TV was the main issue but now the broadband is cutting out on our laptops and our phones when we connect to WiFi.

I raised a complaint, I was called but missed the call. EE didn’t provide a number to call back on and we cannot find a solve. We pay a good amount of money for a service that isn’t working. We work from home and it’s beginning to impact our jobs.

Is there a setting I am missing? We thought it was the LG TV but it’s happening. EE customer service are tricky to get ahold of so any advice would be great.

Thanks

Hi @namico2410

I can appreciate this must be frustrating happening for several months, especially if you're TV streaming buffers too.

Have you tried the the first steps of resetting your router hub, and if you're on full fibre, restarting your ONT box on the wall were your connection comes in?
It may seem like a simple step but it can resolve a range of connection issues.

Please have a look through our Fix an EE broadband connection problem page for more information and steps on what to do.

You can also have a look at Fix a Broadband Problem for other help too.

Once you have followed that, if you continue to face an issue with buffering while streaming and dropouts you can call customer service on 150 from any EE mobile or you can call from any other phone, where our technical team will help investigate and resolve the issues you're experiencing.

Ali
