Hello. I have full fibre 900 standard broadband plus digital phone for which I am charged £66,65 per month. I see other (particularly new) subscribers getting extremely good deals, compared to mine! Am I being unreasonable in thinking that I am being charged a bit too much, as a long term customer of BT and now EE, I feel I should enjoy a discount.

You're not a new cust. EE's already got hold of you & EE wants to reel in many others like you by offering attractive terms to them.

But not with EE or BT.

@markbennett259 unfortunatley unlike other industries like insurance where long term customers are offered the same best orices as new customers, BT seems to punish customers for staying with them. There was a time, before New EE, when you could ring customer services and get better deals. These days it pays to shop around at renewal time, but if you do not ask it seems discounts are not offered.

That amount seems far too much for just 900 fibre with DV phone - even as an existing customer.

It's more than double the current new customer EE offer even allowing for the extra for DV, and more than double the offer from two popular non BT group suppliers that include DV as standard. Going through comparison sites gives the best price for new customers and often a shopping voucher/card as well.

Some suppliers offer to refund early exit charges if switching mid-contract. Some areas have non OR fibre available too. Existing suppliers may make a better offer near the end of contact if you contact them and mention competing deals.

The One Touch Switch process seems quite streamlined - the only real effort is in switching router which can be mitigated by using the current WIFI SSID/password in the new router.
