This is unbelievable. I've arranged with EE to have broadband installed at my new bungalow. I want it installed before I move in. EE have just sent me an email saying my equipment is on its way. But they're sending it to my new address that I haven't moved into yet! So how am I supposed to receive it?

2 questions really:

a) Presumably there will be people in my position who want the broadband installed before they actually move to their new property. So obviously there needs to be offered a choice whether they want the equipment sent to the address they're moving from or their new address. I was not offered any such option. Why not??

b) Why on earth isn't the broadband installer guy bringing all the relevant equipment with him?? I had assumed that this would happen.

I'm asking EE these questions, and apart from an initial asinine response where they told me to ring a number, they are completely ignoring me. Is there any rationale whatsoever why they're doing this? Or are they just unbelievably stupid. I strongly suspect the latter!

Edit to add: Can't psot as it says "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body".

What HTML?? I just bloody typed it out! What have they changed?? These EE guys are seriously idiotic.

b) The installer eng. comes from OR who do not supply routers. The router is supplied by EE who never meet up with installer. They just book him via a booking system.

When you get "Invalid HTML" just hit Post/Reply again & it will clear it.

I have zero interest in what "OR" (whoever the hell they are) supply or do not supply. I am paying EE.

OR = Openreach, the subsidiary of the BT Group that runs the infrastructure that EE's & other's BB runs on.

Sorry, but that's the way it is, for all providers.

No need to be rude!

Jus' checked again now and it says it'll be delivered tomorrow morning! Looks like I can change the delivery date. But the broadband guy is coming on Tuesday and there is no delivery option for either Sunday or Monday. It would be best if I choose Tuesday so I don't have to make 2 trips to my new home. But the broadband guy might come before the equipment is delivered. Though I might be able to connect it up myself?
