Hi can you tell me if ee does a static public ip address? I don't mind paying extra, I've noticed if I have a dynamic ip address all online gaming is unplayable, like im a full 1 second behind gameplay. Do ee use cgnat on there full fibre products? At my previous isp I could use a static ip and I could setup a 1 to 1 nat on my dd wrt router and not once had any gaming problems.

Hi @markoliver_76

I don't believe EE offer that service.

You have other issues it sounds like. Are you console or PC, ethernet or WiFi?

What current service and router do you have?

Thanks

EE do not provide static public IP addys. EE do not employ CGNAT on their fixed Home BB products.

However that wouldn't be the reason your gaming is delayed.

Have you run the speed test in the EE app? That will not only measure the raw BB connection speeds you are getting at the router as well as speeds to the device from which you are testing.

Yes, you can. On a Windows PC: CP > Internet Options > Connections > Setup > Set up a new connection anyway > BB (PPPoE) .

Thank you I'll try that, but I've got my full speeds back, for some odd reason Windows auto tuning level was disabled so it was giving me low speeds. I'll test the gaming out later tonight with my speeds being back to normal now and if it still feels the same I'll connect the pc to the ont box. Thank you for your help, appreciated.
