Smart Hybrid Connect - Alternative SIM

Will the Smart Hybrid Connect work with a EE or BT SIM card in? The BT Hybrid connect did. Ive read a few posts on here which are purely based on 'the service' being sold by EE, thats not what I am asking, the question is will it work with a standard EE or BT sim card

Why didn't I think of that !!🤣 oh because I don't own or have a EE Smart Hybrid Connect device 🤣

I am considering picking one up off eBay, I basically have 2 unlimited sims one BT and one EE, both of which I dont pay for, was thinking of diverting calls from one to the other and using the sim in the Smart Hybrid when I go away for example, just in case my fibre BB fails.

No, cuz you can cook beef in any oven, but you can't pair EE Hybrid Connect to any EE router.

I only asked for your own good but as you're being uncooperative I now couldn't care less.

Decided to just buy one off eBay, £8 inc postage so I will take the gamble. I will post my findings when known for those who are interested.

As far as I know it will work. The internals of the EE Hybrid Connect are identical to the BT model.

The hybrid connect DOES NOT work with either an alternative or standard EE sim or BT sim, just sits there with the mobile signal bars flashing red. Cost me a fiver so not particularly bothered but at least it now answers my question 🤣

Just an update on this for what it’s worth. The hybrid connect does in fact work with any EE sim. The reason it wasn’t working was I had a PIN lock on the sim, disabled the PIN lock and voila it works .
