Try looking in, or closer to, your last 30 days. At that time it might show different packages as it may currently be treating this as a mid-term regrade/upgrade which maintains your same monthly cost or higher.

My 24 month term for 1.6Gbps is coming to an end in June.

EE supplied a Wifi6 router and a couple of extenders. If i go to upgrade (no option to downgrade it seems) I get offered roughly what i have just now, cost wise.

A couple of questions for the new 24 month contracts.

Will they provide the new Wifi 7 router and extenders and I would send this one back or as i am already a customer will they just say keep what i have?
To check options i went as a new customer and I see 2 different options for 1.6Gbps service, which have Wifi 7 routers but one is a premium package and one is ultimate package. The premium is about 20-25 gbp cheaper. I dont see the cheaper package if i sign in as that (ultimate) seems to be close to what i curenlty have i think. I cannot seem to "downgrade."

How do i go about getting the cheaper price (or the premium package) as it looks the same to me apart from the extenders being a bit different. I am hoping with Wifi 7 I dont need them.

Thanks

T

These BB contracts are not fixed term contracts. They don't just end, just the min. term expires. After the min. term they just carry on at the non-discounted price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly migrate, cancel or upgrade.

If you upgrade to the current 1.6 Gig plan your should get the EE SH 7 Pro router & its extenders & have to send the old 1s back. You can only upgrade to those plans that you are offered. The plans you see for new custs are not available to you as you are not a new cust.

Thanks quickly responding.

I know the service will continue to run, most likely at a different price, when the initial 24 months is done.

i was looking to see what other options there are to potentially sign up for another 12/24 month deal hence my looking at different things. The only option was that I take 1.6Gbps again.
but I also looked without signing in.. as a new customer type look and seen various speeds

I understand that new customers, in this world in which we live, do get a different price.

What I was pointing out was that there seems to be more than one option for 1.6Gbps and how would I get the other option or premium, as opposed to Ultimate which is roughly the same price as what I pay just now.

or in fact how would I even get a different speed, perhaps lower speed.

and with the 1.6 options would I get a new updated router as opposed to the one I currently have.

thanks

T
