Our issue is different in that we switched to full fibre (fttp) at the same time but they didn’t change the hub or anything to begin with and we can’t change back to the copper wires unfortunately 😞

We got a new ee hub after reporting the issue (that they couldn’t detect) and have tried that and the bt home hub 2 we had before with the issue persisting.

had an engineer from openreach out (after much insisting from us that only the fibre had changed and not any of our hardware) but they couldn’t detect any issues.

yes we got the ee smart hub after we said we were having issues.

It’s actually closest to this issue, (link below) but their resolution was to leave ee entirely so was hoping for another outcome!

my partner streams and had zero issues streaming at 6000 kbps prior to the “upgrade” and now can’t consistently get 3000 without 10% packet loss, despite us now paying more for supposedly better internet.

Download speed is fine, we don’t really need anything fancy there, it’s the upload that’s the issue.

We switched to the 100mb full fibre package and had the issues so ee persuaded us to try their 500mb package (started today) to see if that helped and it hasn’t. Download has increased but no change to upload.

https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/Upgraded-to-Full-Fibre-Low-Speed-High-Packet-Loss-No-Resolution/td-p/1401871

Test's above all wireless wifi connected to a Ap node, wired though is way better when on the desktop and Ethernet connected.

Hub is in exactly the same place and we are using wired Ethernet for the pc doing the testing and tp link Ethernet over power for others. I understand that the tp link is limited but the WiFi and direct Ethernet should be getting much better speeds to my knowledge.

real concern is that the changeover (when we kept the bt hub) is when the issue occurred so shouldn’t be a hardware issue, it’s either something that ee changed vs bt or something wrong with the fibre installation.

openreach has been out and they don’t think it’s their fibre - though they were only checking one wavelength of oncoming light so I don’t know how they would have known if there was an issue going the other way.

You say Tp-Link is that powerline, you can forget about that, get it switched off for testing....

Only ONE connection a PC or a Laptop Ethernet connected to the EE Hub, all wireless wifi devices off, nothing to interfere with the test, You want and need to get like my posted picture on the 500/70, are you sure the profile has been upped by EE for you to the higher speeds, sure does not look like it from your posting I am also 25 miles south of Glasgow testing down to the sky server's via London.

Hi,

sure yes that is powerline, turned that off and plugged directly in with nothing else connected.

our issue is specifically upload with streaming to twitch that was working with multiple other computers on the network just before the switch over then suddenly isn’t working after the switch over. Tests aren’t really showing the extent of the issue - this says 1.2% packet loss but in practice it’s closer to 8% now

Not saying that this is your issue, but it needs to be eliminated.

I have 4 Asus nodes wired/wireless, and 3 Tp-Link Powerline nodes connected to my system, know and trust every device, what they do etc, so have NO need to switch anything off, slight speed drops depend on what the daughter is doing as she streams 4k and ps5 Downloads/uploads at times but she has her own dedicated Asus AP to connect through.

Fair enough, I know it limits things, but we have been using the powerline with no issue for several years, it’s only been since upgrading to full fibre that we’ve had issues.

when the picture clears you’ll see we reran with nothing else connected but one pc, wired directly into the (ee) hub. Download speeds much better, but we didn’t care about them.

upload speed has increased too according to that test, but we have run lots of tests in the last few weeks and they vary so much.

for example I think this test is specifically based on streaming (which is where we are having issues) and looking at lost packets that would cause lost frames:
