My Plusnet contract expired last month (March), and when I rang them to renew I was advised that I could no longer have a landline. In order to keep the phone number, I would need to migrate to EE. (I know there are other options).

I was given a migration date of April 7th, but this has been moved back to April 24th for some reason, with no communication from either provider, other than an email from EE advising me of a change to an engineer appointment, which I don't need, and subsequently has been cancelled. I suspect I know the reason - I have been charged by Plusnet in advance for the month leading up to the new date, and would presumably need a refund if the migration went through on the original date.

Has anyone else who has migrated from Plusnet had a similar experience?

It's Broadband and Digital phone I have signed up for. It's the simplest way to keep my current landline number, although as I said in my original post, I am aware of other options.

I received my EE router and phone adaptor during the week before the original start date, so I'm good to go when the switch-over finally happens.

I'm not too worried about the delay, I just wanted to know if this is a common occurrence, or perhaps there's some form of technical issue. I know Opereach ordering systems can be problematic at times...

BB & Home Phone is the general product but what BB plan within it? What is the name of the EE BB plan you are on including its speed? Same for what you had from PN.

Service is the same as I had with PN - VDSL2 (FTTC) nominally 80/20, but in practice a good deal slower.

Package details
Fibre 67 Core
Digital Home Phone
Pay Per Call

I'm also on a static IP at the moment and IPv6 as a triallist, and I'm aware I'll lose the static IP, but good to find out that I should have IPv6 when EE goes live.

Thanks for taking an interest/

As it's a like-for-like migration there should not be any issues.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker > Address Checker estimate for your address? Post the whole table, the text below it and the line above it, blanking out your address.

IPv6 is implemented on New EE BB.
