Why?
This is one of the most important settings for me.
This supposedly super modern hub, and it turns out to be worse than what it was 5 years ago. This supposedly "smart" hub turns out to be a completely "dumb" hub.
Good thing I didn't get rid of the old one.

And is it at least possible to use this super hyper smart hub as a wifi extender?

Hi Goral I have to change from BT to EE and have been looking at going with the EE home hub pro. The guys in the EE shop told me that you can change the DNS settings on hub but didn't know how. I don't want to make the mistake of signing up for a £10 a month system that will be usless for me. Have you managed to find a work around? The BT home hub has the same problem, it's impossible to change the DNS. I have been using a ASDL/VSDL router that I could change the settings on but it turned up it's toes and dies. Hence the reason for using the BT home hub2

No.

I use my own router. It is a bit old (4 years old) but I can configure it to suit my needs. I was hoping that the new, much advertised modems from EE would be great, but it turns out that they are not worth the interest.
Mine is packed away in the attic, maybe I'll buy something new from Linksys ....

Prtoblem is that I use my own DNS server so need to change the DNS settings on the router. I know that I can change on indvidual hardware that I have but on some of them it's not possible. I assume that I will be able to use a compatble router using a user name and password when I sign up with EE.

That's useful to know, but the EE DNS servers ought to be more reliable for looking up servers on the rest of the Internet though.

I'm here because I'm suffering slow website loading times. Some websites even timeout, but then miraculously load immediately on retrying. This really feels like DNS issues, so if we're tied in to using the EE DNS servers, they ought to be up to the job
