The US party dials my UK number and the call does not connect, we have checked and verified numbers. The call is from a standard US landline to my digital UK landline. Never used to have any issue with BT on their old system. We have verified dialling country codes etc.

Also have a look at your call protect service that you have, see the extract below.

With your Call Protect service, we
identify and add a list of nuisance
callers who we’ll send straight to your
junk voicemail, cutting down your
unwanted calls. This is the BT Blacklist
and is turned on automatically with
your new service.
Your own Personal Blacklist is also
turned on automatically with your
new service and allows you to send
numbers to your junk voicemail.
It puts you back in control of your
calls: you can block certain call
types, like Withheld, International or
Unrecognised numbers, sending them
straight to your Personal Blacklist.

Search results for "home phone"

It is equivalent to the UK's '00' exit code. Therefore in USA '011 44' & '+44' are synonymous but '+44' is country independent. It's certainly not '0044' as you said when you are calling from USA.

@Monique77 : Don't tell your US pal to use '0011' as advised here.

If you dial them from the UK end do you get through with no issues?
