@Yatoto Voip has been around for well over 20 years, is your BT / EE landline currently digital or not and does your current equipment that you have and or using at present have an ATA port on the back of it!

My landline is not digital at the moment, and I haven't got an ATA port on my EE router.

@Yatoto Then the EE Hub will need to be replaced at the point the Line gets switched over to a digital service, see the current EE one's below.

I have the same, landline from BT & BB from EE, except my BB is Full Fibre & yours isn't.

In Dec my BT analogue landline was switched to Digital Voice w/out any home visit, use of router or any other new kit in home. It still uses my existing home phone sockets & internal wiring w/out any change. All the work was done at the exchange. All I had to do was change any short (7-digit) local nos. in my phones' phonebook to include the local area code. There is no cost associated with the switch & line rental & call plan are unchanged. This new system which I call "DV from the exchange" is called variously Dedicated Landline Service or Home Phone Standard or SOTAP(Single Order Transitional Access Product). It it aimed at users with a landline who do not have BB. It could well be a stop-gap until Jan 2027 when they shut down analogue lines.

I have got a fairly recent EE Smart Router so I just need to transfer my landline to EE then.

The white EE Smart Router doesn't support DV. It has no phone socket at back.

@Yatoto Are you like @XRaySpeX was, had two separate lines into your home? In your case one on the BT phone line and the other used for the Broadband Internet connection?

No, the EE Smart Router has no DV capability at all.

Then you must have a BT landline hosting an EE copper BB, either ADSL or FTTC, over the same line. EE hasn't sold its BB over somebody else's landline for years.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your landline no.? Post the whole table, the text below it and the line above it, blanking out your landline no.

You are currently on 17 Meg ADSL but you could switch to Full Fibre (FTTP), either taking your landline with you as DV or leaving it with BT to go "DV from exchange" as I did.

One must ask about your current situation. Why have you left your landline separate with BT rather than taking it across to EE with your ADSL BB?

Why on earth not? He can stay with BT landline & be converted to "DV from landline" as I did when I went from FTTC to FTTP with EE. The 2 are separate at the mo'. I did ask why.

That choice is what I've been highlighting thro'out this thread while you've been stuck on the all-in-1 solution FTTP + DV from EE.
