I just transferred from Virgin Media to EE. Generally big improvement in the broadband however having quite a few problems connecting some google devices. (my google speaker connected no problem but the Nest Hub Max, doorbell and camera won't)

I have tried most of the feedback that I have seen online:

Rebooted everything, deleted off the App the devices, factory reset the Hub Max, switched off 5 & 6HZ, used main and compatability network.

My phone connects to the device, it is only at the last stage when I try to connect the network, it fails.... Confusing bit as I said the google nest audio speaker did link fine.....

Any help welcome!

The newer WiFi6 and 7 routers have features that older devices can struggle with.

However logging into the router and going to the advanced WiFi settings you can change the compatibility settings, and also the WiFi security from WPA3 to 2, and lastly switch off the 5Ghz channels temporarily to see if that helps. Using WPS where you can also helps.

Make sure you hit save to apply, and you may have to restart the router for this all to take effect.

My issue turned out to be rather more simple after my son arrived to help me out. I hadn't paused my vpn! Anyway it was a nice to see him and his mum was delighted!

Not sure if this helps anyone but I have a EE Home hub pro which was just installed by myself and I found that I had problems connecting all of my nest thermostats. I previously had the BT smart hub 2 . Using this thread I was able to fix the issue and what I did was the following:

logged into the EE router hub via a laptop and NOT the app on my iPhone as it doesn’t have all the configuration settings. You need to use the administrator login via a browser on the IP address 192.168.1.254 … ignore any warnings that say this is an insecure website and continue. It will bring up the EE hub manager. I would assume that if you do not see the EE hub manager and the EE logo and colours that you should stop and doublecheck the website address.

once logged in. I went to the Wireless settings and then under the configuration tab clicked on compatible Wi-Fi which I enabled and set to the exact network name and password which was used on my previous BT router. I ensured that on the secondary compatible network only the 2.5 GHz band was enabled and the 5 GHz band was disabled/ turned off. Note that under the main network settings I kept the new EE network name and password and kept the 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz and enabled on that network.
the compatible WiFi changes then resulted in a secondary network which the Nest thermostats were able to connect to without any issues after pressing the button in the middle of the thermostat. Not sure if it makes a difference but I have all wired thermostats, however I think that should not be relevant.

I've been struggling with my Pixel 8 and my new EE broadband. The broadband has great speeds, works for literally every device except my Pixel 8.

I've gone through EE and Google Support to no avail. Even to the point of Google sending me a replacement Pixel 8. Still wasn't able to connect my Pixel 8 to the wifi.

I've trawled through the forums, but somehow missed this as a solution. So far, my pixel is maintaining a connection to the wifi!!!

TLDR: Pixel 8 not connecting to EE wifi. Set up the compatible wifi and now it connects perfectly!!!
