    <description>&lt;P&gt;We live in a dead spot for mobile and have to use mobile over wifi. We also have an unreliable electricity supply with frequent power outages.&amp;nbsp; At present this is not a problem as we are still on the old copper system and the landline still works in the event of a power cut. However we will be going over to fibre before the end of this year and in the event of a power cut will have no phone connection.&amp;nbsp; Does anybody know of a solution to this problem&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4946575"&gt;@DD27JJ&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;Four things, the BBU's were all sold out EE site wise so will find the link and send that, then there is the issue that you need to cover both the EE Hub and the OR ONT for both units, EE have changed the BBU model and there was a whole mix up with the wrong cables supplied needed for connecting both the units, and finally the Fibre connection may just not have a backup system at all the points needed so you may just be wasting all your time!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Below the EE Sales link, you need to work out either (1 or 2) units depending on were both are sitting and WHAT is more import to you, landline or Broadband!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://ee.co.uk/search?q=battery%20backup&amp;amp;source=help" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Search results for "battery backup"&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The older units were CyberPower Battery Back-up and model was DTB24U12V-BT3 and for sure you need TWO off them, you may find third party reseller's and then just need to source the correct cable set's for the Hub/ONT as needed! This version contains ALL the correct cables required.....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am still non the wiser as to how this problem can be solved. EE broadband says we are covered in the event of a power outage by EE mobile. However EE mobile have looked at the problem and accept we are in a deed spot for mobile reception so we need to use mobile over wifi (ie broad band).&amp;nbsp; I do not know if EE will provide a bbu in this case, so it appears that I have two alternatives, either to pay out £150 for two BBus, one for the router and one for the&amp;nbsp; BT fibre connection&amp;nbsp; device, or else find another supplier who can provide a more resilient service&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Doubt you will find any supplier going to cater for your needs!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;ofcom battery backup&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt; search may throw some light on it for you!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ok so it looks like my best solution is to find another mobile supplier who can guarantee a good signal.&amp;nbsp; However I would still like to preserve my landline connection which I assume will still be Ok with EE.&amp;nbsp; Finally if I go over to a new mobile supplier, will I still be able to set up mobile over the internet via my EE router.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What do you mean by setting up your mobile? The ordinary set-up of the mobile is done over your new&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;mobile supplier's network. If you mean about the EE app, that can also run over the mobile network.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think you got the wrong end of the stick there.&amp;nbsp; I am talking about mobile calls over the internet.&amp;nbsp; At present when using&amp;nbsp; my mobile phone at home as there is no EE reception my phone connects via wi fi to my router which the&amp;nbsp; sends my&amp;nbsp; call via broadband into the mobile network. What I want to know is if I change my mobile phone supplier from EE say to vodaphone or O2 will I still have this facility .&lt;/P&gt;</description>
