When I try to access EE Hub Manager using address 192.168.1.254, I keep getting error message that something went wrong, with error code CHOP3-800.

Still tends to do it after a reboot, but it doesn't matter. It's a false positive! Probably due to router's GUI being exceptionally slow.

Yes, my experience is the same. A reboot helps for a while but it happens again randomly. I hope it can be ignored. Never happened with my previous BT smart hub.

Yep totally normal, the router just sucks and EE don't seem to have any plans to fix the UI issues on the router and the memory leaks.

My SH+'s firmware has been languishing for ages at:

App version: 1.9.0

Firmware version: r1.21.0-R-910349-PROD-83002

cuz I don't really use it & just keep it for reference.

So I decided to let it catch up over the long Easter w/end by connecting it to the BB. Not a sausage over the whole w/end but finally at 4 AM this morning it updated to:

App version: 1.13.1

Firmware version: r1.34.0-R-994210-PROD-83002

As far I can see there has been not any change to the GUI. It's just as slow but no spurious CHOP3-800 errors have yet appeared. All my personal settings have been retained.

If you're unable to fix the issue after selecting OK on the error message, I'd definitely recommend trying a reset on your router using the pinhole button on the back.

When you press and hold this the light on the front should go green, then it'll reboot and switch back to Aqua.

Recently EE switched me to this router (BT customer) and now I get this message and unable to go to the admin page. Stuck on logo.

They really need to fix this. I update router wifi name, add port forwarding etc. I do not want to have to re-configure this each time by resetting the router!

The older BT router worked fine and didn't need this. The upgraded EE router, on face value, seems to offer very little over that.

Hi Jim

Thought it obvious from my post that I can't get to admin page. I do say that.

I have used admin page previously too configure WiFi to own preference and added port forwarding and a no-ip account.

This error stops me at the ee logo and never gets as far as admin now.

Will do a power off when need to get to admin again but I do not want to be factory resetting to get admin up.

EE should fix this, sounds like a memory leak.

P.s.

Sorry, came across a little crass.. The pitfalls of faceless forums.

I do have a slight pet hate of posts not being read, years of IT support I guess 🙂

Nope, retries don't work. Did all the basics.

I think from what I have read on this, its a flaw with the routers/firmware that EE should get their supplier to resolve.

Looks like been issue for many for long time and in this modern "smart" world, "Turn if off and on again" really is not an acceptable answer.

Slightly frustrating this appears after I have returned the older BT router, which worked absolutely fine and was happily running my "EE" connection before the new router arrived.
