EERO Router With EE Full Fibre Broadband.

I have just switched to EE 900 FTTP after over 20 years with my previous ISP. I had previously purchased four EERO Pro 6 routers for my home, one Gateway and three as extenders, and it all worked well.
EE have supplied me with a new Smart Hub Pro 7, which has replaced my EERO Pro 6 gateway and connected to my three EERO extenders. As the eero routers cost me a lot of money, I was wondering what the pros and cons of using the EERO Pro are instead of the Smart Hub Pro, ignoring the fact that the hub is WiFi 7?

Just disabled WiFi on your EE hub and connect your eero to the ethernet port.

The SHP7 is new but try it out. Personally I would use the EERO but I have an EERO network myself.

You can set up the Eeros in place of the Smart Hub Pro by plugging the main unit directly into the ONT and using the PPPoE Credentials found here: https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/using-and-configuring-a-third-party-router

WiFi 7 introduced MLO (Multi-Link Operation) which allowed compatible devices to connect to multiple bands at once, as well as wider channel widths (better data transmission).

The Eero Pro 6 (from my brief research) is a WiFi 6e unit, meaning you will still have access to the 6GHz band but just lack some of the other performance enhancing features of WiFi 7.

If your devices are not WiFi 6e or WiFi 7 compatible, these features will not be available/doing anything for you anyways.

On a 900 Mbps connection, the Eero units will likely be more than good enough if they were giving sufficient coverage and performance throughout the household before.

Just be aware if you have any issues with your connection/setup EE will be unable to support unless you put the provided Hub back on.

I have decided to keep the Smart Hub Pro 7 in place as everything is working perfectly. I'm going to replace the EERO 6 in the garage with the spare EERO 6 Pro I now have.

As I said in my previous post, everything is working perfectly; however, I can't comprehend why it should be.
I have the EE Smart Hub Plus SH35A, not the Pro version as mentioned previously, connected to the ONT. I have an Ethernet cable connecting the hub to an unmanaged switch, which serves a smart TV, PC and Sky Q mini-box.
An Ethernet cable from this switch also connects to an EERO 6 Pro in the garden room, which connects via an Ethernet cable to an unmanaged switch serving a smart TV and Sky Q mini-box.
I have another Ethernet cable connecting the main hub to an Ethernet port on an EERO 6 Pro, which in turn is connected to an unmanaged switch which serves my main Sky Q box, Smart TV, Sony Sound Stage and Playstation 4.
An Ethernet cable from this same switch is connected to an Ethernet port on the third EERO Pro 6 in the bedroom, which in turn serves a smart TV and Sky Q mini-box.

This setup is essentially unchanged from how it was with an EERO 6 Pro in place before I switched to EE and got the new Smart Hub Plus 7. The smart hub and the EERO devices, in Bridge mode, have the same SSID and password, and I'm getting a seamless, fast wifi everywhere, for my phones, iPad and three Amazon Firestick 4K.

From what I've learned, this configuration with the EERO devices connected as they are should not be working, but it is.

Simply because everything I've read and watched suggests that I should either not use the Smart Hub and keep the EERO gateway or turn off the Smart Hub's Wi-Fi and connect the EERO to it with an Ethernet cable. So, with the setup I have, I'm pleasantly surprised that I have no Wi-Fi conflicts or connection problems.

@Paullus1959 And don't believe everything you have read, there is NO need to turn the wifi ssid off an a device, you just don't want an EERO Pro and an EE sitting next to each other transmitting at the same time, with all the hubs and connections that you have and everything spaced out, then you have all Ethernet backhaul connected EERO's to the EE Router!
