Pppoe not Working

Hi so I'm trying to use my Tp-link Vr2100 modem with my ee modem. I have the ee router plugged into the DSL port and then a network cable coming from network port 1 on the ee modem into the WAN port on the tp-link modem and the tp link modem has been switched to "Wirless Router Mode" . But I've been trying to setup the tp-link router up but the username and password doesn't seem to work, the username and password I'm using is: bthomehub@btbroadband.com and BT (also tried no password). But if I set it up with Dynamic IP it work fine.

FYI the ee route has a Internet connection and works fine and all the cable are fine. I was also using the tp-link router with my previous Internet provider for many years via the DSL port and user the username and password for Plusnet.

I have attached two screenshots one of it setup as a dynamic ip and the setting in trying to use for pppoe!

It's never been this hard in the past....

The PPPoE Auth is only done at the initial EE router, not also at the secondary TP-Link router. The latter's connection type should be Ethernet & it should be connected at a LAN port, not the WAN port.

So I plug the ee router into one if the LAN ports on the tp-link router?

@Olifab You can wan - lan connect, your Tp would need to be routing and you will/would be double NAT control but possibly not too many problems you would just need to check!

Yes, @JimM11 , I'm trying to avoid the complications of multi-LANs & double NAT'ting.

Let's see your settings for the Net Config (your 2nd pix)? What choice does the Type drop-down show?

@Olifab The Tp-Link VR2100 Router does not have a dedicated AP mode off operation, you will need to go set it that way, have a look on the Tp-Link community page for how to do that!
