Renewed billing confusion

My broadband expired 4th Jan

Renewed new contract 7th Jan

January Bill was at out of contract price.

Messaged to be told that bill would be adjusted February.

Looked at anticipated February no credit on there?

How do they do the credit?

Cannot see anything regarding this

It will be worked out pro-rata by day in your Feb. bill. There is an EE Help article on part-charges but I am not at PC at the moment to find it

Is the total bill lower than you agreed? Look at the breakdown by number it should show the charges with - amount as a credit for the refund. It will not show as a cseparate credit

Here as promised is.Understanding your bill after an upgrade:

Part Charges
These will show on your bill if you’ve made a change to your account partway through your billing month. This means you’ll be charged for your new plan up to your bill date (which will stay the same unless you’ve asked for it to be changed). You'll see a credit for your old plan covering the same period. Your next bill will show your new monthly charge as usual.
Other reasons for a part charge on your bill:
you added a new product or service partway through the month
you changed your phone number, plan or payment date
you added another line to your account (such as another phone, tablet, SIM or dongle).
